General Manager, Licensed Funeral Director

A Longview native and proud R.A. Long High School graduate, Rachel began her career at Steele Chapel in 2011 as the Cemetery Administrator. After several years in Texas, where she served as both Facility Manager and Sexual Assault Advocate at a domestic violence shelter and remained active in community service, her path led her to Hawaii, where she returned to the funeral profession as a Funeral Director. In 2021, Rachel came back home to Longview and rejoined Steele Chapel, where she later earned her certifications as a Licensed Funeral Director and Crematory Operator. Since then, her dedication, compassion, and leadership have continued to grow, culminating in her current role as General Manager overseeing all of our funeral homes and cemeteries.



Rachel’s diverse background has profoundly shaped her leadership philosophy, reinforcing her belief in empathy, accountability, and service to others. She leads with a strong sense of purpose and heart, guided by her core values of compassion, integrity, accountability, and service. She believes that true leadership means serving others first, creating an environment built on trust, respect, and continuous growth while ensuring every family receives the highest level of care.



Outside of her professional life, Rachel is the proud mother of twin girls, Anna and Adaline, who are her greatest joy. She enjoys spending time with her kids and family, gardening, going to the beach, watching football, and decorating for Christmas. Grounded by her faith, Rachel takes pride in creating a welcoming, supportive environment both at home and in the workplace. Her dedication to faith and family mirrors her professional mission, to lead with empathy, serve with integrity, and leave a lasting legacy of care and compassion for future generations.

Vice President, Licensed Funeral Director and Embalmer

As a 38-year resident of Longview/Kelso, WA, Rick has been employed all that time as a Funeral Director and Embalmer at Steele Chapel at Longview Memorial Park and Dahl McVicker Funeral Homes as well as several other funeral homes in Southwest Washington. He is currently the Vice President of The Pierce Group, Inc. which owns the funeral homes mentioned. Rick is past Chair and currently serves on the Washington State Funeral and Cemetery Board. He is Past President of the Washington State Funeral Director’s Association. Rick is the Past President of Longview Community Church; Past President of the Kelso Lions Club, and past President of Stageworks Northwest Community Theatre and served on their board for 15 years. Rick has been married to Lorraine Little for the past 35 years and has two children Lance and Amy
